We’ve finally done it. The Bottom of the Ruck now has its own apparel shop.
Each shirt in our lineup celebrates the spirit of grassroots rugby, authentic, tough, and proudly built from the ground up. Designed for comfort and made to be lived in, these shirts carry the same heart that fuels every muddy pitch and community clubhouse around the world.
Just as I aim to give grassroots rugby a voice through the website and social media outlets, I wanted to create something that gives people a way to wear their love for grassroots rugby. These shirts represent all the unseen heroes who keep the game alive.

This first group of offerings is just the start. We plan to expand to include more designs and different types of apparel to offer. Check back often as we will also add some limited edition shirts from time to time.
Why It Matters
Bottom of the Ruck has always been about celebrating the people who make rugby great. The players, coaches, referees, volunteers, and fans who give their time and heart to the game. Every purchase from the shop helps keep that mission going.
Proceeds go directly toward the ongoing costs of running the Bottom of the Ruck platform while also helping build toward future initiatives that support grassroots rugby clubs and volunteers.
In 2025, we donated to grassroots rugby initiatives in 5 different countries and we want to do even more in 2026!
Bottom of the Ruck is a passion project, my love letter to Clubland. One of my dreams is to grow it beyond words alone and turn it into something that actively supports clubs, whether through sponsorships, fundraising help, or small grants. To make that possible, I need to develop sustainable revenue streams that can fund the site and build a foundation for future initiatives.
The game has given me so much over my career; this is my way of paying it forward.
