The Club Rooms Project

Ponsonby Rugby Legends

I am an absolute nerd for club rugby history. My home is filled with artifacts and books detailing the rich history of rugby.

So, it was much to my enjoyment to connect with Locker 71 Productions, who are working on a series of videos called The Club Rooms Project. Locker 71 is a creator-led storytelling production studio producing original series and branded storytelling projects across communities, culture, and grassroots sport.

I have been following some of their videos on social media and anxiously awaited the launch of this project.

The first episode comes from Ponsonby Rugby Club located in Auckland, New Zealand. Founded in 1874, the club has a rich history and they just begin to scratch the surface.

To check out this fantastic video and learn more about the club’s history, watch the video below.

Give Locker 71 a like, subscribe, and help them keep making these great tributes to the grassroots.

The Story of Rosie’s Ruck

Rosie’s Ruck is more than a rugby tournament. Founded by 12-year-old Parker Vitagliano-Hill, this youth-led 7s event is raising awareness and funds for seizure alert dogs, inspired by her sister’s journey with epilepsy. It’s a powerful example of how grassroots rugby can bring communities together and change lives.
